While I agree that a Trump presidency, at face value, would not destroy America or democracy, I don't believe that is what happened. Trump is a human smokescreen, a walking misdirection. The actual entity that came in with him, hidden behind the bluster, is the thing that has been handed the keys, and has the ability and competence to use them. Musk is its mouthpiece, satellites and data are its tools, and it has the desire and capability to strangle democracy. I am in fact putting money on Trump being found mentally unfit by his own party before the next 4 years are up (and paid handsomely, or...else). Who will be president then, and to whom is he beholden? Who has been given the keys to all US data and infrastructure?
